Lost and Found

Last night I accidently fell asleep at 8:00 pm while reading. I woke up at about 10:30 pm. I hate it when this happens. Basically this means I have about 2 1/2 hours to kill before I am tired again... So, I looked around my room and saw an old Paste Magazine. I began flipping through until I came across a article about Regina Spektor. If you would like to read it go here. The article talks about how she created a cd that is completely upbeat and cute, but if you really listen to the lyrics that is not the case. In the song The Calculation the happy tune disguises the fact that she is talking about not so happy things. Oh, Regina. You little jokester.

I am really excited about some new music finds. They go as follows:

1. I just started listening to the new She & Him cd. WOWOWOWO. It is great.
Brand New Shoes is my favorite.
Also, I am really into their Beatle's cover I Should Have Known Better from Volume One.
My dad says that "there isn't much to her voice" but I disagree. I like that there isn't much to her voice. Form your own opinions.

2. Recall how one day the song of the day was going to be a song, but I didn't know who it was by. Just that it was Track 01? Well, I found out who it is! Jaymay is the name.
Gray or Blue is my favorite.
(credit shall be givin to Ali Alin Cottle for this find. Thanks Ali.)

3. Camera Obscura. They are scottish, and they are awesome. I don't know how they got a time machine, but they manage to sound exactly like they are recording this in the 60's.
Teenager is my favorite.

Whew. That was a lot of links. You don't need a SOTD.

P.S. I am in the school's musical next year! (I almost over punctuated that with exclamation points, but then I remembered how much I hate it when people do that...) :)
