Information Overload!

gish. It has been a while. I know that everyone starts their posts like that, but it really has been a while. I have been a busy little bee! No joke this time. Want the down low? I mean low down?

Ok.

Here we go. A recap of the summer. I'll try and make it interesting.

1. EFY!!! <-- you know what over punctuation means :)
It was a blast!
And I promise I didn't wear that shirt all week. That was just picture day I guess.

2. Here comes a damper: my best friend moved. But hey! I think I'm flying out in August! And plus, she's way better off there. For one, she has a pool. Second, Brook White is performing at her youth conference. AND 3rd, she has CABLE! When she told me that I flipped! That is a big thing for us! We have never had cable. This is how the conversation went:

Maddie: "Oh and Jane! Guess what?!"
Jane : "Yeah?"
Maddie: "We got cable!"
Jane: screams
Maddie: "Yeah! and DVR!"
Jane: screams "Now we can watch Say Yes To the Dress and record Extreme Makeover Home Edition!"
Maddie: "Ahh yeah!"

Lets just say that we have lived with peasant-vision all our lives. Including channels 2, 4, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 24, and 30. That is why my favorite tv show was never Thats So Raven. It was always Cyberchase. And as of now I don't even have tv. We just got a new tv... its just not hooked up. And being honest, I would much rather watch a movie. Just sayin'.

If you would like to be refreshed on how much I will miss the Blakes click here. It's deep.

We're classy.

Anyway back to the list...

3. My beloved Grandma Ann passed away. Not much more I can say than that she was one of the cutest, sweetest, kindest, most caring women I have ever known. She was always thinking of others. She was the best cook, and she taught me everything I know about sewing. I'm so glad I took advantage of the time we had while she was here. She taught me so many good things, and we had a lot of one-on-one time. I love her so much, and I miss her already. I loved hearing all of the stories of her kind service to others whether it was while she was a young mother, working at the Lion House (where she served for 20 years), on one of her missions, or whilst working at the Bountiful Temple. She is the sweetest. I love her so much, and I miss her already.

Tonight we were going through some old stuff in her ceder chest. We came across a few old high school yearbooks and her graduation dress. My aunt and my mom said I could keep them! I am so excited. I'm going to get the dress cleaned, and wear it to a dance next year. woohoo!

4. Girls camp. It was at heber valley camp. It was b-e-a-utiful up there! Words that sum up camp: friendship bracelets, canoes, challenge course, sloppy joe, hostess cupcake, bunk bed, bruises, dirty jeans, campfire, roasted starburst, intense journal writing, no phones! (or were there? :), no ipods! (literally), bathroom cleaning, showers, service tokens, pencils with no lead!, boy talk! (I cannot believe I just typed that...), foam pads that don't do SQUAT!, blow up mattresses that weren't mine that I wish I had, tick checks!, and a lot more. But it's 11:17. I can't think anymore.

5. I went to Lagoon with my cousins! The only plus side (I repeat the ONLY) of your grandma passing away is that you get to see all my family. My mom's seven brothers and sisters and ALL their kids. It was pretty crazy but I loved it! Anywho. Lagoon was a blast. Who knew that if get in the "designated seating" line instead of the "single riders" line for Wicked they'll just let you through! Ahh yeah.

6. I GOT $70 BUCKS STOLEN FROM OUR CAR! ugh! 2 weeks of hard work down the drain. In some creeps pocket. Some people... haha.

Anyway. There you have it. I'm sure stuff happened in between... but you don't need a recap of my WHOLE life :)

by: The Beatles! Who else?
The video is an old cartoon. It's pretty funny.
