But here's my problem. I GENUINELY like/need glasses and this isn't like a "phase" I'm going through. Sure, I want to look trendy, but it's not like I want to look "nerdy". I want them to look real enough that it doesn't look like I went and bought some $4.50 pair of glasses from Claire's so I can take pictures of myself while flashing the peace sign in my bathroom. Oh, it's just a dilemma I'm in... what do you think? YES. YOU!

Honestly?... I would get the regular rectangular frame glasses. The other kinds always just look goofy to me, no matter how genuinely hipster/indie/whatever the person is. Take Naomi from Rockstar Diaries for example... She looks goofy.
Sometimes those kind of glasses do look good, yes. But usually just in catalogs. In real life... they look goofy.

i think they are adorable and super trendy. hahaha and i think naomi looks hot and i want a pair for my own. but i would probably take a picture of myself in the bathroom flashing a peace sign. jus sayin..

I went through the same dilemma a few months back when I found out that I needed glasses, and so I decided to buy cool glasses like the ones pictured. I didn't spend a ton of money on them {two pairs with the prescription lenses for under 30 bucks! WHICHAW} and I really like the way they look on me. Only problem? EVERYONE asks me if they are fake. Why would I be wearing fake glasses when I need to see? I think you should buy whichever ones you want, bar none. Do it to please you, not others. You can pull off anything with a little confidence! :)
